The Ohio Cooperative Education Association (OCEA) is a nonprofit professional association founded in 1971. OCEA membership is open to employers, educators, and those interested in Cooperative Education and Internships in the state of Ohio.

Our Mission

  • To provide a professional organization for all Ohio institutions of higher education, employers/organizations, and individuals interested in Cooperative Education
  • To extend knowledge of, participation in, and support for Cooperative Education in Ohio
  • To strengthen the functioning of Cooperative Education through active interchange of ideas and experience
  • To provide opportunities for professional development of the membership
  • To develop structured guidelines for the operation of Cooperative Education Programs in Ohio and recognize outstanding programs and practitioners
  • To develop and maintain scholarships and other philanthropic programs that advance awareness of and participation in Cooperative Education
